Location:
Villemoustaussou holds fetes’ and festivals on many weekends throughout the summer months.
Carcassonne the famous medieval city is a 10 minute drive from the villa and is full of restaurants, bars and small shops which together with, museums and other historical attractions, makes it a place you will want to visit many times during your stay. The more modern part of Carcassonne sits under the old town and has pedestrian shopping areas with many bars and cafes.
The Canal du Midi passes through Carcassonne and is only a 5-minute drive from Villa Laffon, boat trips and walks on the canal path are an excellent way to spend an afternoon. The towns of Mirepoix, Limoux and Castelnaudry are all nearby and well worth exploring.
A 45-minute drive takes you to the Mediterranean coast, with beaches at Narbonne Plage and along the coast towards Cap d`Adge or Perpignon. Barcelona can be reached in around 2 1/2 hours.
Carcassonne airport is 10 minutes drive from Villemoustaussou with Ryanair flights departing from Stanstead, Liverpool, Nottingham East Midlands and Dublin airports during 2006.
